“I am blessed to have the opportunity to work with the community members of McDowell County and serve as the Case Manager for the MATCH program. I believe improving our community’s health means looking beyond the doctor’s office. We must also take a deeper look at other factors that influence our health such as the physical environment, health practices, coping skills, and the social and economic environment. The MATCH program promotes community engagement and works towards eliminating barriers that prevent individuals from achieving optimal health outcomes. By working closely with community members and organizations, we can focus on building effective strategies to address these barriers that impact the community’s health the most.”
