“I am blessed to have the opportunity to work with the community members of McDowell County and serve as the Case Manager for the MATCH program. I believe improving our community’s health means looking beyond the doctor’s office. We must also take a deeper look at other factors that influence our health such as the physical environment, health practices, coping skills, and the social and economic environment. The MATCH program promotes community engagement and works towards eliminating barriers that prevent individuals from achieving optimal health outcomes. By working closely with community members and organizations, we can focus on building effective strategies to address these barriers that impact the community’s health the most.”

"The M.A.T.C.H. program  takes a unique and holistic approach to health by not only providing access to quality care, but utilizing valuable resources in the community to address the social and economic needs of our clients.  By looking at the bigger picture, and addressing the multiple challenges our clients face, we hope to give more people the opportunity to lead healthier successful lives.  As a life long resident of this community it is truly a privilege to have a role in helping the region become a healthier place to live and work.”
